Swagelok are experiencing tremendous growth and hiring many positions in our Strongsville facility. We are currently hiring experienced and entry level conventional machine operators for an expansion of an existing product line into our Strongsville plant.
At this level the associate is proficient in all aspects of the process. They are able to solve most non-routine process problems. The associate at this level has a greater awareness of the overall business and is able to recognize the need for and escalate
process improvements to standard work that reduce cost and/or improve quality and delivery. They may interact with associates in other functional areas and can oversee and assist with department development.
o Performing set-up related duties
o Train high level skills
o Troubleshoot production problems relating to equipment, tooling, and processes
o Demonstrating support of company philosophies, systems, and policies through actions and words.
o Setup equipment to standard work.
o Facilitate Shift Start up and departmental meetings
o Train and educate operators. Assist with the assessment, implementation, and documentation of associate and departmental development plans and competency progress plans.
o Be the subject matter expert in completing the technical portion of setting up a machine
o Perform, train and assist in preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
o Accurately complete records and forms.
o Accurately complete records in maintenance management system.
o Knowledge about the products, processes and equipment
o Self-motivated and able to learn at a fast pace.
o Demonstrates proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.
o Identifies and corrects machining problems relative to tools and tool holders, collets and chucks.
o Ability to identify and rectify minor mechanical equipment malfunctions.
o Uses change management system
o High school diploma or equivalent
